Project Description

Punta Mita Club Member Brian O’Flanagan wins Gold Medal at All Ireland Special Olympics

Many of our members have met Brian be it at our Sunday 9 Whine & Dine or in and around the Golf Club. Brian can often be seen practicing on the back green with either Mum Martina or Dad Dermott or enjoying a round on either of our courses in Punta Mita.  It gives this scribe great pleasure to share with our Members that Brian recently played in the All Ireland Special Olympics and won the Gold Medal taking first place with a gross score of 110 over 18 holes.

The event was held at St Margaret’s Golf and Country Club in Dublin last Thursday the 29th of September and Dad Dermott was on his bag as Caddy.  Naturally Brian was delighted and could not wait to show off his medal to anyone who would listen to him. We hope Brian brings the medal down to show us all this upcoming season and we all offer him our heartfelt congratulations for a great round and winning the Gold Medal – what an honor for the O’Flanagan Family.

Brian’s Punta Mita Family from our Members to the Staff at the Golf Club are also extremely proud of the achievement and send a huge hug and kudos for a great achievement. All our Punta Mita golf members are always very understanding of Brian when he is about and chats away with them when they are trying to concentrate  on their game – so to all of those members and the many others who have met Brian or even if you have not met him we thought you would like to see this little piece of great news. A special shout to The bag boys and Tail of Whale staff who are always extremely nice to Brian and take care of him when on the range or enjoying his breakfast.

On behalf of his proud Mum & Dad – your Punta Mita Scribe
